Lee Cole
I grew up in Smyrna and have lived here for 43 years. I graduated from Smyrna High School in 1978.  I then completed my Pre Pharmacy at UT Chattanooga and attended Samford School of Pharmacy where I graduated in 1986 with a B.S. degree in pharmacy.  I have served as President of the Rutherford County Pharmacy Association and was a past member of the Rutherford County Board of Health.

My hobbies include, my favorite skiing and snowmobiling in Telluride in the winter and spending the summers on my boat in the middle of Percy Priest Lake relaxing, thinking about nothing.  I also love UT and Titans football and an occasional college basketball game.  Paintball has also become a new hobby of mine over the past couple of years.  I also love spending time with my family; which God has blessed me with such a loving father and mother that have instilled my values which I use in my daily interactions with each and every person I come into contact with.

Heather Cole
My name is Heather Cole and I am the Business Manager for Smyrna Rexall Drug Inc. I was born and raised in Smyrna and Rutherford County and am a 1999 Smyrna High School graduate and a 2004 Public Relations graduate from M.T.S.U. I began working at Smyrna Rexall for my grandfather and father when I was old enough to work, beginning my career dusting, sweeping, and evolving into a cashier. Smyrna Rexall became my career in 2003 when Lee (my uncle) asked me to come on full-time as the Business Manager.

My spare time is taken up by fitness activities: running, or taking a Spin or yoga class at the local YMCA.

"While I never anticipated working for Smyrna Rexall when I grew up, I cannot imagine a better place to work!"

Jessica Johnson, Pharm D
My name is Jessica Johnson. I have been employed with Smyrna Rexall Drugs since July 2005. I was born and raised in Owensboro, KY and attended Owensboro Community College to complete my undergraduate studies. I graduated with an Associate Degree in Science in 2000. I then completed my professional studies in Birmingham, AL at Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy. I graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in May 2005.
I married in 2007 in Owensboro, and have 2 children, a girl born in 1998 and a new little boy born May 2008. My husband and daughter both participate in soccer here in Rutherford County.

Smyrna Rexall has been a blessing in my eyes. Working along with Lee, I have been able to provide the services to my patients that I have always wanted to. Working for an independent pharmacy allows me to incorporate my own beliefs and recommendations openly.

I aspire to better the community by providing thorough counseling to each patient that comes through the door and by providing educational materials to those who may wish to extend their knowledge about certain disease states and medical conditions. I feel that a trusting pharmacist/patient relationship is the key to successful medication therapy and management.

Dina Cole
I am from the small town of Manchester, TN. My parents are both Greek which means I come from a big fat Greek family! I have one older sister, 2 nephews and a plethora of cousins. I am happily married currently with no children but hopefully will someday. My hobbies include running, hiking, skiing, shopping, and traveling. I love all sports but I am partial to basketball.

In 2001, I graduated from Coffee County Central High and soon began my pre-pharmacy studies at MTSU. I attended the University Of Tennessee College Of Pharmacy where I received my Pharm D in May 2008. I began working for Rexall Drugs soon after graduation & have loved being a Rexall pharmacist.

Denise Steffey
I was born and raised in Owensboro, KY. I took my pre-pharmacy classes at Murray State University.  From Murray I went to Samford Pharmacy School, where I graduated in 1987.  Most of my pharmacy experience has been in the hospital setting.  I did not really have any retail experience until working at Smyrna/StoneCrest Rexall.  I can honestly say I love working at StoneCrest Rexall. (Thanks Lee)

My family and I have lived in Smyrna since 1995.  My husband works for TVA and grew in Nashville. We have two children, one girl, Mary Beth and one boy, Matthew.  Smyrna has changed a lot since we moved here, good and bad, but I am thankful that the “Rexall” is still standing.

One of my favorite things to do is ride my bicycle and walking.  My family are proud season ticket holders to the Nashville Predators.  My son loves playing baseball and just playing sports in general. My daughter loves to swim and just doing teenager stuff.

I hope as Smyrna grows more and more, people will see what a good pharmacy “Rexall” is to the town. Walgreens, Wal-mart, CVS, etc will never meet our customer service level.

Brian Rucker
I grew up in a small town in Kentucky called Hodgenville. I went to the LaRue County School System my entire childhood. My father was one of nine brothers and sisters and my mother has a brother and sister of her own so I have always been around a big family.

I graduated high school in 2002 and started trying to figure out what I wanted to do in my life. When I was in high school I worked at a placed called Pamida. It was pretty much your basic stocking shelves and unloading trucks job based at a store that is kind of like wal-mart only smaller and overpriced but it was the closest thing around for miles so people had to shop there. They seriously have a sign that says "Sure you could drive to the next town for cheaper, but why waste the gas?" I continued to work there for 1 year after I graduated until my father passed away in 03. Then I decided it was time to do something different and get my life on the right track so a friend told me I should apply at the local pharmacy because it would be a easy job. Turns out i was wrong and the job was not easy at all but I did find it very rewarding and it fit into my schedule nice also. I worked here for a while and then a friend introduced me to my future wife Melissa. She was from another part of Kentucky but at the time was attending Western Kentucky University and so we started dating. I would drive to Bowling Green each weekend to see her and sometimes she would drive to see me in Hodgenville. We did this for a bit until she graduated then her internship placed her at StoneCrest hospital so she had to move to TN. We had already decided to get married so I started job hunting around the area and ended up giving my application to a pharmacy in which a pharmacist that also worked for Lee at the time was working. So my wife and I were picking out which wedding photos we liked the best when I get a phone call from Heather asking me about the job and if I was interested, the entire time of which I was trying to remember who she was and if I had actually gave them a application. As it turns out that pharmacist that also worked for Lee gave my application to Lee and he liked what he saw and decided to give me a shot. His decision to do this was probably the second best thing to happen to me in my entire life, first being my wife agreeing to marry me for reasons I still can’t figure out today!. When I started working for Lee at this pharmacy I thought I knew a lot about drugs having worked in other pharmacies before. I could not have been more wrong and was lucky Lee didn’t give me the boot right then. Instead he decided to take a chance and teach me and mold me into a better person and I am forever grateful for his guidance and understanding to this day. My wife and I now live in Murfreesboro and she continues to work at both Stonecrest and I continue to work for Lee here at Smyrna Rexall.

My mother and my brother are still a major part of my life and I never forget the people who helped me become the person I am today. In my free time I have been known to go walking, rock climbing, take my dog to the park and go to local concerts in Nashville. However if you ask most people that really know me they would tell you I am a nerd. I enjoyed video games as a child and I still enjoy them today. I play games with my brother through the internet almost every day because I feel like he needs a good role model and a father figure in his life to keep him straight.

All of my friends still live in Hodgenville and I still see them from time to time and try to stay in contact with them because no matter what you have or don’t have in life the only thing you can always count on is the friendship of the ones around you that you have met and will continue to meet throughout your life.

I am originally from Hawesville, KY a town of 950 people along the Ohio River.  I attended Kentucky Wesleyan College from 1986 to 1988 and lived on Cyprus in 1989 and 1990.  I moved to Nashville in 1996 and then to Smyrna in 2000.  I am married and have a son.  I have training as a certified nursing technician and have graduated from Tennessee Technology Center in Murfreesboro, first as a surgical technician and then as a certified pharmacy technician.

My husband and I are big Nashville Predators fans.  I love to cook, read, spend time with my family and work jigsaw puzzles.  I am blessed to work at Smyrna Rexall because I believe in having honest concern for the friends and neighbors who are also our customers.  I believe you should have a relationship with your pharmacy, not just purchase your medicine there.

Richard Coleman
A lot of Smyrna Rexall customers already know me, but for those of you who don’t my name is Rich, and I have been delivering prescriptions for about 2 years for Smyrna Rexall.  I am originally from Michigan.  I graduated from Belleville High School and attended Henry Ford community college majoring in electrical electronics.  I have lived in several other states over the years: Montana, Missouri, Arkansas, Florida and South Dakota.  I worked in the steel industry for 35 years.  I have also worked as a carpenter building houses and as an electrician.  When the steel company that I worked for went out of business, I worked in hotel/motel maintenance for 5 years.

My mother is 91 years young and is living in Michigan. I have 2 daughters, 5 grand children, and 1 great-grand daughter and another due in March 09.  I retired in December of 2002, divorced and moved to Tennessee in December of 2003.  In 2006 I decided that I needed something to do to occupy my idle hands and mind, that is when Lee Cole took me into the Smyrna Rexall family and all of the employees and Lee and his family have been like my extended family since I started working there.  I enjoy serving our customers needs and hope to continue doing so for as long as our customers and Lee want me to.

Everybody is like family at Smyrna Rexall.
